    Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. They set out the basis on which we provide our mobile mechanic services to you.

    Last updated: March 2026

    1.

    Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of mobile mechanic services by P1 Mobile Mechanics, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 15633238), hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our".

By booking or using any of our services, you ("the Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our services.

These Terms apply to all services we provide, including but not limited to pre-purchase vehicle inspections, general repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and mobile mechanic attendance at your chosen location.

    2.

    Services Provided

P1 Mobile Mechanics provides mobile automotive services across Essex, Kent, London, and Hertfordshire. Our services include:

    • Pre-purchase vehicle inspections
    • General mechanical repairs
    • Vehicle diagnostics
    • Car servicing (interim and full)
    • MOT preparation
    • Brake and clutch repairs
    • DPF cleaning and regeneration

All services are performed at the Customer's chosen location, whether at home, work, or another agreed address. Due to the mobile nature of our service, certain work may require specialist equipment or facilities not available at a mobile location. In such cases, we will advise you accordingly and may recommend attendance at a suitable workshop.

We reserve the right to decline any work that we consider unsafe, impractical, or beyond the scope of mobile service provision.

    3.

    Bookings & Appointments

Bookings can be made through our website, by telephone, or via WhatsApp. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by us.

When making a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information including:

    • Your full name and contact details
    • The vehicle registration number
    • The service address and postcode
    • A description of any known issues or concerns

You are responsible for ensuring that our technician has safe and reasonable access to the vehicle at the agreed time and location. This includes providing adequate space to work, a flat and stable surface where possible, and ensuring the vehicle is accessible.

If we are unable to access the vehicle or the location is unsuitable for the requested work, we reserve the right to cancel the appointment and a call-out fee may apply.

    4.

    Pricing & Payment

All prices advertised on our website and marketing materials are shown as "from" prices and represent the starting cost for each service. The final price may vary depending on vehicle type, location, and the scope of work required.

A distance-based surcharge may apply for locations outside our standard coverage area. This will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

The final price for any service will be confirmed before work begins. Where additional work is identified during the course of a service, we will seek your approval and provide a revised quotation before proceeding.

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed. We accept payment by bank transfer, card, or other methods as specified at the time of booking. For pre-purchase inspections, payment is required at the time of booking.

    5.

    Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel a booking free of charge by providing at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled appointment time.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover the cost of the allocated time slot and any travel already undertaken.

If we are unable to attend an appointment due to circumstances within our control, we will reschedule at the earliest convenience at no additional cost, or provide a full refund if preferred.

Refunds for completed work will only be issued where we have failed to perform the agreed service to a reasonable standard, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

    6.

    Pre-Purchase Inspection Disclaimer

    Important — Please Read Carefully

Our pre-purchase vehicle inspections are visual, non-invasive assessments carried out at the location where the vehicle is presented. The inspection is based solely on the condition of the vehicle at the time of the inspection.

The following conditions apply to all pre-purchase inspections:

    • No dismantling: We do not dismantle any part of the vehicle unless specifically agreed in writing beforehand. Components that are sealed, concealed, or not safely accessible will not be inspected.
    • Point-in-time assessment: The inspection reflects the vehicle's condition at the time of examination only. Mechanical and electrical conditions can change at any time after the inspection.
    • No guarantee of future performance: The inspection does not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or prediction of the vehicle's future condition, reliability, or performance.
    • Not a warranty or insurance: The inspection report is not a form of warranty, insurance policy, or indemnity. It is an informed opinion based on a visual and diagnostic assessment.
    • Hidden defects: We cannot be held responsible for defects, faults, or issues that are not visible, accessible, or detectable through a standard mobile inspection.

By commissioning a pre-purchase inspection, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.

    7.

    Customer Responsibilities

As a Customer, you are responsible for:

    • Providing accurate and truthful information about the vehicle and any known issues
    • Ensuring a safe working environment for our technician, free from hazards
    • Obtaining any necessary permissions for work to be carried out at the specified location (e.g., landlord or site owner consent)
    • Being present or available by phone during the appointment
    • Ensuring the vehicle is accessible and in a safe condition for inspection or work

P1 Mobile Mechanics accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from inaccurate information provided by the Customer or unsafe working conditions at the service location.

    8.

    Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use of the vehicle, or any costs arising from the purchase of a vehicle following an inspection.

We are not responsible for any pre-existing faults, wear and tear, or conditions present in the vehicle prior to our service. Where we identify existing issues, these will be noted in our report or communicated to you, but we accept no liability for their existence.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

    9.

    Delays

While we make every effort to arrive at the agreed time, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

    • Traffic conditions
    • Adverse weather
    • Previous appointments overrunning due to unforeseen issues
    • Vehicle breakdowns affecting our service vehicle
    • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, etc.)

In the event of a significant delay, we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you and, where necessary, reschedule the appointment at a mutually convenient time.

We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.

    10.

    Warranty

Any warranty on parts or workmanship will be communicated to you at the time of service. Where manufacturer warranties apply to parts supplied, these will be passed on to you.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, our standard workmanship warranty covers the specific repair or service carried out for a period of 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The warranty does not cover faults caused by misuse, subsequent damage, or wear and tear. It also does not apply to pre-purchase inspections, which are advisory in nature.

    11.

We take your privacy seriously and handle all personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We collect and process personal data including your name, contact details, vehicle information, and service address solely for the purpose of providing our services, managing bookings, and communicating with you about your appointments.
